NH44 vs NH48 in North India — which corridor?

North India has two dense highway belts: NH48 (Jaipur, Ahmedabad) and NH44 (Chandigarh, Amritsar, Lucknow). Pick the corridor that matches your destination — do not assume one highway serves all.

NH48 belt (west)

Delhi → Jaipur, Gurgaon → Jaipur, and Delhi → Jodhpur use NH48 with strong plaza DC and multiple operators.

Best for Rajasthan tourism and Gujarat connections — often the easiest first long trip from Delhi.

NH44 belt (north)

Delhi → Chandigarh, Delhi → Amritsar, and Delhi → Lucknow use NH44 or linked expressways.

Chandigarh is the shortest NCR weekend hop; Lucknow needs one mid-route stop for most EVs.

Multi-day north tours

Plan each leg separately in EV Grids — Delhi → Jaipur then Jaipur → Udaipur, not one impossible mega-route.

Use corridor compare pages to pick between similar-distance destinations from the same origin.
